Hi everyone,

I've been trying for weeks to get Fastkeys running on a Copilot+ PC with Windows on ARM without success. Until now, I haven't had any issues with any other app. I've tried all the ARM compatibility settings. When starting FastKeys, nothing happens except for an error entry in the event log.

Can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

I also have a Surface laptop 7 ARM Laptop. With Fastkeys 5 (32Bit) you can disable in the ARM Compatibility settings: Hybrid run mode (or something like that, my Windows is not set to English) that will allow Fastkeys to run on ARM.
But the new Fastkeys 6 is 64Bit, so that mode can`t be selected anymore (it only for 32bit apps) so version 6 will not work at the moment unfortunately.

I went back to FastKeys 5.17. With the setting "Disable Hybrid Mode" or something similar, it works.

Great. Thank you very much.

I also had this issue - I have a windows surface laptop running windows 11 ARM based software. I used the wayback machine to download a previous version of fast keys (5.17) and then used microsofts "troubleshoot compatability" (right click the app) to get the program to launch. It would be amazing if future versions could be ARM compatible!

We have released a 32 bit version of FastKeys 6 which should work with ARM processors, you just need to set the compatibility settings. Right click on a FastKeys desktop icon and select Properties. Then select Windows ARM, Change emulation settings, Enable option "Disable hybrid execution mode (x86 only)".

You can download the 32 bit version from our webpage (see the Downloads section at the bottom).
