Hi everyone,
let’s revisit this old topic and finally resolve it.
What’s going on here?
I’ve uploaded a screenshot to clarify things.
I’m a tax clerk and I have 4 monitors.
To explain:
Monitor 1 = Laptop = Off. I don’t need it.
Monitor 2 = Wide 49“ main screen in front of me.
Monitor 3 = 27” portrait-oriented screen to my right for viewing A4 documents
Monitor 4 = 27" monitor to my left with miscellaneous stuff on it (phone system, Outlook, chat, etc.)
What Fastkeys does wrong:
It always selects Monitor 3 because, physically and in terms of pixel height (absolute, coordinate 0), it is the **highest** and lowest monitor (coordinate -3840). It does not recognize that Monitor 2 is the **PRIMARY** monitor in Windows.
I don’t really care (though it would be nice, of course) if Fastkeys could detect the top coordinate (“Top Edge”) on all monitors. It would be enough for me if it simply respected the primary monitor. Unfortunately, it doesn’t. And that’s why everyone with a multi-monitor setup is left in the dark.
