This is getting extremely aggravating. Almost to the point of finding an alternative. I am on version 6.03.

Whenever I type a word like (CST) it pops up with suggestions, and I do NOT want it to pop up and overwrite a timezone. This gets on my nerves a lot, and I'm getting very annoyed at that popup...

I've already tried going to Settings > Text Expander > Ending characters and removing both ( and ). Saved, and reloaded. That did not fix it. What can I do to stop it from triggering on timezones like that. The top phrase in the popup is ;cinders (a link to my old cat's pics).

Have you created a CST abbreviation? Change it to something similar (for example ;CST) or remove it if it's conflicting with something else.

If you removed ) as ending character in Preferences then typing a ) it will not trigger the substitution. I tried and it works for me.

Nope. I did a Ctrl F, "CST" and no results.

Maybe it’s in one of the Phrase files or Wordlists - try to disable them.

I checked every wordlist, the only mention its included, not its own word. Under "English Common Words" - DECstation.

As for phrase files, I am not using any.
