Is this just me, or you cannot actually use a keyboard shortcut to trigger a mouse gesture?

For example, I want the keyboard ALT key when pressed to be the mouse gesture activator instead of a mouse/trackball button.

Alt is a modifier key. You can try any other key or a shortcut.

Thank you for the fast reply.

I don't think I explained it correctly. On the Vivaldi browser for example, you can enable mouse gestures with a modifier. When holding that key, and moving the mouse cursor it will trigger the action.

This only works while ALT is held down. So I can for example hold ALT key down, make a gesture and go back or forward.

ALT can be indeed selected under the Special keys alone, just ALT but I don't think this works as expected at all.

And if I select the option Long press (assuming that is holding it down) I get this error.

Error: "_Alt" is not a valid key name. And some more errors....

The current thread will exit.

If I select another key, example F1, it does work fine it seems. The mouse action is only visually triggered when its held down, and immediately cancelled if I release the key.

Maybe there is a problem just with ALT in particular, not sure.

You are right, gestures currently cannot be triggered by holding modifier keys alone. Let’s see if we can improve this in one of the future releases.
