I do a lot of email with attachments. Often in different folders. I attempted it using text expander:

Tidd Rick:: R:\Tidd Rick
/Mad Hat Only:: R:\~MadHatter\logos\Mad Hat only

Trigger immediately, send. I tried open and run also with no success.

The options come up, but when I click on one it goes back to the folder it was already in.
Hoping someone can help me with what I am doing incorrectly.

If you wish to open the folder then the right Type is Open (or Run). Selecting the first option will open "R:\Tidd Rick" folder in Windows Explorer if the path is accessible and correct.

With this in the substitute box:
Tidd Rick:: R:\Tidd Rick
/Mad Hat Only:: R:\~MadHatter\logos\Mad Hat only

Set to trigger immediately, and changing to either run or open, this is what happens.

I type the command:
1. favs in the address box
2. Address box goes back to what it was
3. Opens a new explorer window with the correct address.

I want it to stay in the open window and change the folder location.
Thanks
Rick

I just changed the options to manual confirmation, and it seems to be working.
Puts in the correct text and waits for me to hit enter.
