Let's say a user creates a Start Menu Send command. The user types "Hello there" in the command box as the item to be sent.

If the user chooses "No formatting" or "HTML", the Send command works as expected.
If the user chooses "Rich Text", not even changing formatting but simply changing the mode, the command no longer works.

For example, in programs that can receive rich text (such as Microsoft Word, etc.), when the command is run, nothing happens.

If the user changes the mode back to "no formatting" or "HTML", the command once again works.

Is there something being missed in making this work?

Thanks in advance for any help!

This for sure works. Try increasing the Clipboard Paste Delay in Preferences/Text Expander/Advanced.

If still not working than there must be another application on your computer which may interfere with the Clipboard Manager.

Thank you for the quick response!

The current version of FastKeys appears to install with the following default value:
Preferences / Text Expander / Advanced / Use clipboard for Rich Text: unchecked

After:
1. Checking the box for that preference;
2. Creating a new rich text Send command;

now it is possible to send rich text from FastKeys.

So is it true that rich text doesn't work by default and this setting needs to be set, or is something else amiss?

No, it should work without this option enabled.

Hello,

I have exactly the same problem here, I'm currently trying your soft which look really amazing but I can't use the main feature I would love to.

And in a similar way, the rich text is working if I check "Use clipboard for Rich Text" but apparently I can't use this option because macros don't work anymore after (and of course I need macro like "date", etc)

I tried in my "work" app (Tinymce) and in Gmail too.

Latest version of Fastkeys, latest version of Chrome, Win10 uptodate.

Any idea about the problem ?

Thank you ;)

Gmail uses a different rich text format. Could you try in MS Word or other application?

Thank you for your quick answer, you're totally right, it works in MS Word.

Do you have plan to make this compatible with web editor ? Or to make macro processing before clipboard copy ?

Thank you

We will do our best but cannot promise it. What do you mean by macro processing?

Thank you we definitely should be able to use rich text on your website 8-)

By macro processing I mean :
- Rich text with %A_ShortDate% in MS Word: it's working and I can see a date,
- Rich text with "Use clipboard for Rich Text" option, I just see "%A_ShortDate%", no date at all.
