I'm experiencing an odd thing...
This doesn't happen everytime though.

If FastKeys is running, my mousewheel does not work in any application - at all.
If I then exit fastkeys, it's working again.
Load up fast keys - disabled.

I don't have any shortcuts or anything linked to the mousewheel and I don't even use the mouse gestures... what could be going wrong here?

Hi, thanks for reporting. Does it happen randomly or under specific circumstances? It would be great if we could replicate the issue. Could you try disabling a Gestures module and/or disabling Mouse volume option (Preferences/Functions)? Does it happen in a specific application (Office, full screen application...)? It happens immediately again after restarting FastKeys? Is right mouse button functioning?

note:
If I pause fastkeys, the mousewheel functionality returns.
- So this must be something fastkeys is actively doing whilst the program is running.
- Enabling gestures also randomly disables my right click.
- can't find a particular application that triggers the issue... I'll post back if I do find one though.

In case you need to know:
Win7 64bit professional

I normally have gestures module completely disabled.
as a test, I re-enabled the module.
enabled some specific gestures and disabled some others independently.

Something that might help:
If I scroll my mouse continuously I get this error:

Thought I would actually answer your questions this time round:

The reason I say 'random' because it happens some time after my PC is restarted. Once it occurs, I usually ca't get back out of it.

Renabling gestures did not fix the issue.
Edit: Disabling it afterwards did.
enabling it again did not produce the issue.
- I'm inclined to believe it is linked to the gestures - just not sure how since I have off most of the time.

The issue itself prevents the mouse wheel everywhere - but see my answer to your first question as well.

Yes. It is persistent.

If I pause / unpause the issue returns.
If I exit and load up fastkeys again, the issue returns.

Yes - but only when gestures is on, and the aforementioned issue is present.

Hope those are more helpful than my last post.

okay...

On a whim, I thought about what I've done differently whilst I've been using fastkeys within the last couple days.

I use a program called Trillian - you may have heard of it - basically a messenger program that combines messaging apps together.
a friend of mine recently found out he could 'draw' instead of send text based messages.
so I tried it out and for some reason, when I go into the 'draw' area, my scroll wheel is disabled from that point on.

I would assume this is a trillian problem... but if I then pause fastkeys whilst drawing, the mouse wheel functionality returns.
enabling fastkeys again stops the mouse wheel again.

If I close the trillian window, mouse wheel functionality returns.

Very weird problem.
Guess I'll stay away from the draw section of trillian for now.

Thanks, this is very informative. I'll try to test this software to see if this is a problem.

Could you also try disabling a Mouse Volume function to see if this makes any difference?

here's another thing:
I use the snipping tool a lot

I open the snipping tool with fastkeys:
ALT + c

As soon as I've snipped something - my mouse wheel disables

Sure, but is this a feature in the options somewhere... cos I don't have anything that does this in shortcuts or anything.

Thanks! Didn't even know about this!

Turned it off.

Thanks. It looks like Volume control is causing a trouble on your computer. I have tried on three different computers we use but unfortunately cannot reproduce the issue so it must be related to specific OS/computer settings. I'll try to explore further.
