What is the purpose of the Start Menu option to list recent files if you can't open the file from the list?

Tested again and it works for me. You cannot open any item from the list? Files and folders? Which Windows version you use?

Sorry for the delay, it was working for a while and now it's not working again.
I'm using 3.15. I click on the item and the menu goes away but the document or folder does not open.
Could it be a Windows setting or something?
Thanks!

UPDATE:
My Recent folders are opening, but not documents.
Here's a screenshot of my settings:

Recent items rely on the links to items available in the Windows recent items folder. Could it be that your missing file was deleted or moved?
