I often use the Em Dash—a nice punctuation to use to emphasize something—when I write.

So I created a text expansion so that I can type "emd" and it will create a "—".

The only trouble is that I have to put a space before typing "emd" and of course, an em dash shouldn't have a space before it.

I'm wondering, is there a way to have a script that will put the em dash there, delete the space before it, and then place the text cursor back after the em dash?

Try More options - Trigger inside word option. ;)

@Tom, Oh, I see. That's what that checkbox is for… It works perfectly. Thanks!
I also have one to turn three periods into a single ellipsis character—in order to reduce character count on Twitter posts—and now that one works perfectly too, as seen above. :D
