menu icon file specs

What kind of file are expected, beside exe, to work as icon in the start menu ?
I've got a lot of links to website with "C:\" icon, how can I use telegram/reddit icon ?

EDIT: ok turns out that renaming a png to .icon extension works
EDIT 2: software "forgets" about these file, when I added them it worked but now they don't display anymore

Most web page links should display the icon automatically. For others you can specify any file containing the icon (exe, ico etc.).

reddit and telegram don't work, I tweaked a fake exe to make it work

looks like sometimes fk won't import .ico at all

looks like the icon bug was fixed, am I right ?
btw are goin to get a icon choice for the submenu name ?
Example:

the "web" tab doesn't display any icon
not that I really care, it was just to nitpick

Parent menu icons are not available. It is on our wish list.
