I used the information you gave me (Total Commander Wiki page) to make TC my default file manager and now when I click on a recent folder in my FastKeys menu the folder opens in TC

I use a special key to trigger Text Expander, for instance:
Abbreveation: \m
Substitute: Monday{SPACE}
You can use any key you like. In this way you have more control when an abbreveation has to be triggered.
